A MEDITATION ON FORGIVENESS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

I was doing a meditation, that seemed so real. I was at the bottom of stairs to climb up to go to heaven and as I got to top of the stairs to go into heaven, I was feeling some fear and I don’t know why.

At the door I heard “DO NOT BE AFRAID, JUST OPEN THE DOOR.”

So I opened the door and I heard the voice again “DO NOT BE AFRAID, JUST TAKE BABY STEPS.” After I took 3 steps, the door behind me shut by itself. As I was walking down the aisle saying hi to all my loved ones and walking towards my chair in front of GOD, I heard a voice behind me, calling me back to him. I turned around and there was Mike (someone who abused me as a teenager) Mike said he was sorry he took advantage of me and asked for forgiveness. Then I saw my best friend from my early 20’s. She said she was sorry and asked for my forgiveness. Then I saw another friend, asking for forgiveness. As I was walking, I heard 100’s of people saying “I AM SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME.” Everywhere I looked, people I knew and didn’t know were all saying “I AM SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME.”

It was a little overwhelming to hear all these people saying “I am sorry.” I was not sure what was happening. I went to my brother, who had passed on, and he told me he was sorry. We hugged each other and I then went to my Mom and Dad both said they were sorry and I hugged them.

Then I saw my 1^st grade teacher (who would always put me in the closet for not talking right) and she said she was sorry for all the bad things she did, asking for forgiveness. I forgave her and we hugged. Then the minister showed up, (he was the one who spanked me so hard and told me it was GOD punishing me at the age of 4 that caused me to stop talking and develop learning disabilities) and he shared how sorry he was, and how that was wrong of him and he asked for forgiveness. I forgave him and we hugged.

I continued walking down the aisle, realizing everyone from my past who has ever hurt me or harmed me was saying they are sorry and asking for forgiveness. This is what I’ve always wanted was for people to say the are sorry. I was in tears of joy.

I finally made it to my chair. God came and sat in front of me and said “IT IS TIME TO LET GO OF THE PAST. LET GO OF ALL THE HURTS AND THE PAIN FROM THE PAST. GIVE ALL YOUR PAIN AND HURTS FROM THE PAST OVER TO GOD AND LET GOD MELT ALL YOUR HURTS AND PAIN FROM THE PAST INTO LOVE.”

Then it was time to go back. I walked back saying goodbye to everyone. The next thing I knew, I am sitting in my chair at home.

I am sitting in my chair in awe, having had such a powerful and healing meditation. I had no idea that I would experience all this forgiveness and yet GOD has a way to bring what you need when you are ready to receive it.

I went to my computer because I felt GOD had a message for me.

GOD: SUE, YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE SORRY. WELL, NOW THEY HAVE. IT IS TIME TO LET THE PAST GO. LET GO OF ALL THE LIES. LET GO OF ALL THE HURTS AND PAIN. LET GO OF YOUR EXCUSES ABOUT BEING A VICTIM, WHY YOU CAN’T DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, WHY YOU CAN’T BE IN YOUR POWER AND WHY YOU CAN’T PLAY BIG.

SUE: I know GOD and I am scared. I’ve been using my past as an excuse. Now I use the excuse I don’t know how to be in my power, how to play big because no one taught me how and I know that is BS.

GOD: SUE IT IS BS. ONCE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, YOU CAN’T GO BACKWARD AND PRETEND TO PLAY SMALL.

IT IS TIME TO MOVE FORWARD AND PLAY BIG. IT’S TIME TO STEP INTO YOUR POWER, OWN YOUR POWER AND CLAIM YOUR POWER.

YOU FELT YOU WERE ALWAYS AFRAID OF YOUR POWER. THAT WAS EGO TELLING YOU LIES. THAT WAS YOUR EXCUSE FOR PLAYING SMALL. I KNOW YOU ARE SCARED TO PLAY BIG AND BE A MESSENGER FOR GOD, BUT YOU CAN DO IT. IT’S WHAT YOU WERE MEANT TO DO. I AM RIGHT BESIDE YOU. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

ALL YOU NEED IS TO BELIEVE AND TRUST YOURSELF, BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE AND BE WILLING PRACTICE WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING.

THE PAST IS THE PAST, IT NO LONGER CONTROLS YOU, UNLESS YOU ALLOW IT. AND IF YOU ALLOW IT, I WOULD ASK WHY?

SUE: Because of fear.

GOD: REMEMBER WHAT I SAID AT THE DOOR, I SAID FEAR NOT AND OPEN THE DOOR, TAKE BABY STEPS AND EACH STEP YOU TAKE, TAKES YOU THAT MUCH CLOSER TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. AND, BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, YOU ARE THERE AND YOU DON’T EVEN REALIZE THAT YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN SO AFRAID OF.

Sue: Thank you GOD, I love you.

GOD: SUE I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW.
